In 9th-century, across the Islamic world — from Baghdad to Córdoba, the warraqeen were the people who made knowledge move. Part scribe, part publisher, part bookseller. They copied manuscripts by hand, ran bookshops across the Islamic world, and put knowledge into the hands of anyone who sought it.

This app is named after them. Same idea, different century.
